What students practice
Each of these is part of the product today, not a classroom-only version.
Writing a reproducible bug report
Capture session replay, console logs, network requests and a screenshot in one click, then annotate and file it.
Test plans and test runs
Write versioned test plans with manual and automated cases, and run manual tests from the extension.
Debugging from a replay
Watch what happened before the bug, then read the console and network logs captured with it.
Working with AI coding agents
Hand a bug to Claude Code, Cursor or another agent over MCP and review the fix. AI agents and MCP
Reporting to a client
Publish a test report that a reviewer approves by name, the way agencies report to clients.
Handling personal data
See redaction at work: personal data is masked in the browser before a capture is uploaded.
One way to run it in class
A four-step sequence you can adapt, with BugMojo doing the capture.
Capture and file a bug
Students find a bug on a practice site, capture it with the extension and write the report.Swap and reproduce
Each student reproduces a classmate's bug from the replay alone, and comments on what was missing.Write and run a test plan
Students turn the bugs into test cases, run them, and record pass or fail with evidence.Report and sign off
The instructor plays the client and approves the test report, or sends it back with changes.
Questions from instructors
- Is BugMojo free for courses?
- Yes. Instructors can apply for a free Team plan for their course. Without applying, the Free plan is $0 forever for up to 5 seats, which suits a small group.
- Why apply for Team instead of using the Free plan?
- Team has unlimited seats, so a whole class can share one workspace, and it keeps session replays for a year.
- Which browsers do students need?
- Chrome, or Edge, Brave or Arc, which install the extension from the Chrome Web Store. The Firefox version is not published yet.
- Can students keep using BugMojo after the course?
- Yes. Anyone can create a workspace on the Free plan, which is $0 forever.
