Quick Capture: report a bug with zero setup
File a full bug report in seconds with no account, project, or company, then share it with a link.
Sometimes you just want to report a bug and get on with your day, without picking a company, project, or board first. Quick Capture is built for exactly that moment. It records the same high-fidelity report as a normal capture, but files it as a standalone bug you can share with a single link.
Capture a bug with zero setup
File a Quick Capture report
Reproduce the bug. Open the page where the problem happens and make it happen again. BugMojo keeps a rolling recording of your recent activity, so you do not need to press record first.
Open the extension. Click the BugMojo icon in your browser toolbar, then choose Capture.
Select Quick Capture. When asked where to file the report, choose Quick Capture instead of picking a project. This skips all workspace setup.
Describe the bug. Add a short title and what you expected to happen. Annotate the screenshot with arrows or notes if it helps.
Submit. Click Submit. BugMojo masks sensitive text and inputs in your browser first, then uploads the report and opens the Quick Capture page.
Share a Quick Capture link
Every Quick Capture has its own page with a shareable URL. On the Quick Capture page, click Copy link and send it to a teammate, a founder, or a support contact. Whoever opens the link can watch the session replay, read the console logs, and inspect the network requests, no account needed.
Convert to a tracked bug
Move a Quick Capture into a project
Open the Quick Capture page from your link, then sign in or create your BugMojo account if you have not already.
Click Convert to bug. Choose the Company, Project, and Board where the bug should live.
Set the details. Give it a status, a priority, and any labels, then assign it to a teammate or an AI agent so someone owns the fix.
Save. The full report, its replay, logs, network requests, and metadata, moves into your board as a tracked issue with nothing lost.
Common questions
Do I need an account to use Quick Capture?
No. Quick Capture works with zero setup, so you can file a full report without creating an account, company, or project. You only sign in when you want to convert the capture into a tracked bug.
Is a Quick Capture report less detailed than a normal one?
No. A Quick Capture still records the session replay, console logs, network requests, a screenshot, and device details, with the same client-side PII redaction. The only difference is that it is not filed inside a project yet.
Can anyone with the link see my Quick Capture?
Yes. A Quick Capture link is a shareable URL, so treat it like one and only send it to people who should see the bug. Convert it into a tracked bug to move it behind your workspace permissions.
