How-to

Set up your workspace

Create a company, a project, and a board so your team has a home for every bug report.

Your workspace is where bug reports become organized, trackable work. Before you invite teammates or capture at scale, set up the three-level structure that BugMojo uses to keep everything tidy.

How the hierarchy works

Each level nests inside the one above it:

  • Company: the top level, usually your organization or client.
  • Project: one product, app, or website you are tracking bugs for.
  • Board: a lane inside a project, such as Web App, Mobile, or QA, where issues live and move through statuses.
  • Issue: a single bug, with its replay, logs, status, priority, and assignee.

Create your workspace

Company, project, and board

  1. Sign in at bugmojo.com and open the dashboard. If this is your first visit, the setup flow starts automatically.

  2. Click Create company. Give it your organization's name and confirm. This becomes the home for all of your projects.

  3. Inside the new company, click New project. Name it after the app or website you want to track, for example Marketing Site or Checkout API.

  4. Open the project and click Add board. Boards let you split work by team or stage. Start with one board, such as Bugs, and add more later.

  5. Your workspace is ready. Bugs captured with the extension can now be filed straight into this board, where they pick up statuses, priorities, and labels.

Common questions

Do I need to set up a workspace before capturing a bug?

No. Use Quick Capture to file a bug with zero setup, then organize it into a project later. A workspace is only needed when your team wants to triage and track bugs together.

Can I create more than one company?

Yes. A company is the top of the hierarchy, and you can create separate companies for different organizations or clients. Each company has its own projects, boards, and members.

How many projects and boards can I have?

This depends on your plan. FREE includes a starter allowance, while PRO, BUSINESS, and ENTERPRISE raise the limits. See plans and limits for the current numbers.
