Connect Slack notifications
Link BugMojo to Slack, pick a channel, and get bug alerts where your team already works.
Connect Slack so BugMojo posts an alert the moment a bug is filed, assigned, or changes status. Your team sees it in the channel they already watch, with a link straight back to the bug.
Before you start
Connect Slack and pick a channel
In the web dashboard, open the project you want alerts for and go to Integrations.
Find Slack in the list and click Connect.
You are sent to Slack. Choose the workspace, then click Allow to authorize BugMojo.
Back in BugMojo, open the Channel dropdown and select the channel to post to, such as #bugs. For a private channel, invite the BugMojo app to it first.
Under Notify on, tick the events you want to post to Slack (see below).
Click Save. Use Send test message to confirm the channel receives a post.
What triggers a notification
Turn each trigger on or off under Notify on so the channel stays useful rather than noisy:
- New bug: a bug is captured or created in the project.
- Assigned: a bug is assigned to a teammate or an AI agent.
- Status changed: a bug moves between statuses like OPEN, IN_PROGRESS, or CLOSED.
- Priority changed: a bug is set to CRITICAL or another priority.
- New comment: someone comments on a bug.
Every message includes the bug title, status, and priority, plus a link that opens the bug in BugMojo.
Common questions
Can I send different projects to different Slack channels?
Yes. Add a Slack connection per project and pick a separate channel for each, so each team sees only its own bug alerts.
Will Slack messages include private bug data?
Messages show the bug title, status, priority, and a link back to BugMojo. Replay, console, and network details stay behind sign-in in the dashboard.
Do I need to be an admin to connect Slack?
Yes. Only an OWNER or ADMIN can add the Slack integration and authorize it in your Slack workspace.
